HBD to me!
Well fans, one glorious year has passed. I have had a blast, and learned quite a bit. I've been all up and down the east coast, seen snow in Georgia, watched three college football games (setting precedent for a long life of fanhood), and watched my queen of a brother throw 366 hissy fits (that's one for every day of this leap year).
Can't say I wouldn't have changed some things (helllo Annie + raisins = sadness), but overall I'm very thankful.
Check back for more later, because it's Mine in 2009.

push cart!
I have this Radio Flyer Walker Wagon that is my new favorite toy! I just love walking across the room from one end to the other over and over!
I feel I can hear "The Eye of the Tiger" playing in the distance as with every step I get stronger and better! Soon I will be able to walk like Waakabee, and from there it's not far from being able to tackle his punk ass when he steals my toys. That drama queen must be taught a lesson!
For now, I get ready for the challenge with each wobbly lurch of my legs!
"Risin' up, to the challenge of our rival..."

Gabe's Party
All the cousins got together for photos at Gabe's party this weekend. That's me, Gia, Waakabee, and Gabe sitting next to Big Pop.
We checked out the dinosaurs. This one must have scared the piss out of the other dinosaurs.
Uncle Robby tried to get all Greenpeace on me and tell me to leave the unborn penguins alone.
So I did to him what any self-respecting ANWAR drilling toddler would do. I put the beat down on him. This is a move I learned from Ni Hao Kai Lan. Parents think that show is about learning Mandarin, but it's got a definite ninja undertone.
"Ni hao shushu Robby? Wol sher super megwa ren!!"
Then I imagine this ancient Chinese monk saying "Finish him!" in a voice like granite tumbling down a cliff.
Good luck using this hand for much more than a paperweight. You got your ass handed to you by a ten month old. An Inconvenient Truth indeed.

Then we checked out an exhibit on the Arctic. Turns out it's melting. Doesn't help when punks like me find penguin eggs and mess with them.

Then you have to look at your opponent's eyes to gauge just how defeated they are. Uncle Robby is clearly beaten.

Outside Time
Got a little sun today as the teachers brought us outside for playtime. Turns out there was a firetruck at school! I didn't like the loud sirens, but I did like the lights and the big firemen.
My brother got a firefighter hat, but I didn't because I'm too small. I know that when I get bigger he'll let me have it. Awesome.

Go Jackets
Watching the Jackets play Gardner-Webb with Mommy, Daddy, and Waakabee in mommy's work suite. In reality, I mostly ate snacks and enjoyed standing on the window ledge. I also was very much engaged in crawling down the long hallways of the place. Now that I'm mobile, I'm able to follow Waakabee whereever he goes!

Grandma BJ!
Hanging with my Grandma BJ on the back deck. She and Nannie came to visit this last week, and I really enjoyed being with them. I especially love the way they put Waakabee in his place. Serves him right, the brat.
Grandma BJ is an extraordinary woman - a graduate of the first officer class in the (then) new Air Force, a commandant of troops in Okinawa, Texas beauty queen, loving mother, and all around classy lady. I sure do like spending time with her!

Playing Coy
Well, five months have come and gone in the blink of an eye. I'm now more accomplished than the Waakabee was in many ways...but I don't rub it in to protect his ego.
I have two bottom teeth.
I am grabbing and holding things quite easily.
I eat veggies and cereals.
I still poop many times a day. Hey Uncle Toro!

In this picture, I appear to be quite shy. It's actually pretty genuine, but I have practiced it a lot. I call this look "Poo Panther."

Four Months Go By So Quickly
Yesterday, I turned four months old. Today, I received five more shots, and yes, another to drink. Here are my stats:
15 lbs, 13 oz
25 1/2 in.
My doc says I'm in the 75th percentile for both height and weight - That means I can beat up 75% of the babies in the world.
My Mom has begun feeding me 'cereal' - it's very tasty and gooey in my belly. I push most of it out with my tongue - but the doc says I'll get the hang of it.
I've also started sucking my thumb - apparently, my pops did the same thing when he was my age.
Bye, There!

Borrowed Bumbo
Mr. Jim and Mrs. Jean have let me borrow a bumbo.
I like to sit in it and ponder my navel. And that's not just a pun. I actually stare at my belly button and toes and wonder...why do I have these? Not that I'm complaining.
Here I have been caught staring at my toes, telling them, "Be strong. Be swift. Be as deadly as JCVD."
This Bumbo thing rocks. Now I've got one up on the Waakabee. He never had a Bumbo. That's because he's dumb-o. What a terrible joke.
Oh well. Back to my coffee and paper. By the way, Ziggy comics are so lame. Who reads these?

Sun. Sand. Johnson's Baby Bath.
Looks like I've been busted pretending to be a swimsuit model. My attire? A washcloth. Terry is the new spandex, ladies. Get a piece of this while you can.
Chicks so dig me. Waakabee says that will change with time. I think he's full of it, and I'm going to milk this for all it's worth. Speaking of milk, it's almost time for MRB.
Below is the rest of my photo shoot. Ciao.

Brotherly Love
This Waakabee kid may turn out to be alright. He's been showing me plenty of warmth and consideration so far. We'll see if he can keep it up!
